The Sawtry Colts Girls Football Development Centre started on 2nd November and Andrew Burgess from the centres sponsor, Produce World of Yaxley, was on hand at the session to help out and also presented all the girls that attended with a ‘Girls Football Development Centre’ training top.
The ‘Girls Football Development Centre’ will now continue to run regular weekly sessions on a Sunday at 11.45am to 12.45pm at Sawtry Leisure Centre.
These training sessions are offered free of charge because of generous sponsorship from Produce World In Yaxley who are committed to supporting the local community actively and encourage a more healthy lifestyle for children.
The training structure is formulated to start with basic technique and then enhance and develop skill further as the season moves on.
Girls from 4 to 8 years old* can join the ‘Girls Football Development Centre’ and we will run two squads with a maximum of 12 places available per squad.
There are a few places still available and all girls from Sawtry and the surrounding area are able to apply for a place, which will be offer on a first come, first served basis.
